FAQs

Your questions answered!

No, you do not need a referral from your GP. We actively communicate with your GP with regards to your injury and your rehabilitation plan, where appropriate. Certain insurers do require you to see a GP before they will authorise physiotherapy treatment.

Our physiotherapists will aim to reduce you pain and help get you active again as fast as possible. We will diagnose your injury and identify the cause of your pain and then provide an individualised treatment plan that includes manual therapy techniques, strengthening and corrective exercises. We will also take the time to explain and educate you about your injury and then implement strategies to help reduce this risk of reinjury and reduce your pain.

You can book an appointment at your own convenience using our online booking system, otherwise, feel free to call us on 02890449507 or email us on info@purephysioclinic.com

Yes, we have plenty of onsite parking available at our clinic.

Your initial assessment is 60 minutes and follow up treatments are 45 or 30 minutes in duration. Each treatment is one on one with our physiotherapists undivided attention and no interruptions. Each treatment will be tailored to your specific rehabilitation needs.

On your first visit to Pure Physio Clinic please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment so that you can fill in a registration form.

If for any reason you are running late for an appointment, please call us to let us know.

In this session we ask you about your injury history, what activities aggravate and ease your symptoms and medical history. We will then go through a thorough assessment of your movements, strength, flexibility, and palpate the area. We will also check to see if there are any biomechanical faults that need correcting to help settle your injury. A treatment plan will then be developed and implemented to help you return to your desired activities.

This depends on your individual policy and we would ask all patients to check with their insurer. Please contact your insurance provider prior to starting treatment to check if you need to get a claim form and coverage details for your policy, as each policy is different.

Please remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance provider and that you are responsible for ensuring that any treatment sessions you claim for are covered under your scheme. Pure Physio cannot be held responsible for any non-payment of claims.

Payment for each treatment is required at the end of each session. However, you can pay for treatment in advance if you wish to save time or on behalf of someone else (ie. a child). We accept cash and all credit and debit cards including American Express.

Please bring all information relevant to your injury - this may include your referral, scan and/or x-ray results, previous exercise sheets. You may wish to wear loose-fitting clothing, dependant on your injury is located. We can also provide shorts or t-shirts if required. You are welcome to bring along a support person to any of your appointments.

If you become aware that you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment time, we ask that you call or contact our clinic on 02890449507 or info@purephysioclinic.com as soon as possible to reschedule if necessary but also to allow our physiotherapists the opportunity to offer this appointment slot to another waiting or urgent patient.
